Happy Friday,

How was your week?

Mine was filled again with business fun, tarte tatin and delivering everything on my to-do 2024 list with a couple of weeks to go, haaaaaaa (that's me screaming).

Heading to the holidays is also a moment when brands treat themselves (and us) to holiday campaigns, which are a fabulous chance to build stronger emotional connections with consumers.

One brand that has been good at it for many years now is Coca-Cola. How many of you knew I was going to talk about this brand just with the subject line? With a brand purpose of wanting to refresh the world and making a difference, they have capitalized on the holidays since the 1930s evoking:

  • Warmth

  • Nostalgia

  • And togetherness

Coca-Cola's holiday campaign often cues for many the start of the festive season and always makes sure their brand fundamentals are on point:

  • Consistent with their heroes, think trucks, Santas and polar bears

  • Music that is filled with memorable jingles cueing happiness

  • And most importantly, selling a feeling more than their product

Take a look

Are you smiling already? No? Keep watching then

Twelve more dodos before Santa – we got this!

See you next week

Happy Holidays

This week, I treated myself to a little impromptu covid retreat. Not to worry, I'm doing fine and got to spend plenty of quality time...
