Happy Friday
How was your week? Good right? Me too.
This week will be the last time you receive it with my Google address.
What started as a weekly note to my team at Groupe Marcelle early on in COVID to spark conversation and engagement even remotely has transformed into something much bigger today.
I love this routine. It keeps me curious about brand building, marketing, strategy, and whatever else I read that week. I connect it to past experiences and crazy things my brain weirdly seems to remember, and I play the game of if I had to do it again.
Every Friday morning, I make myself a rocket fuel pour-over coffee, put on an EDM set (don't judge) and get cracking. Hoping my friends, colleagues and peers will do the same (or a glass of wine! ) while reading and/or watching the YouTube videos I've linked if they have time.
So I did a workshop led by a fantastic marketer, who, in the span of 3 days, helped elaborate, build, and visualize how to go from a simple multi-send email to a more "grown-up" way—educating me on platforms, broadcasting, templating, channels, naming and everything under the sun.
I will admit it's a little weird to think of your own brand's look and feel and tie it all together to your purpose (mine is helping brands (or people) build their brands).
But here we are.
